Our Labrador puppies in their new homes.

It is with great proud that we post these testimonials from people that have acquired a van Dalen puppy or dog in the past. All these dogs went from our home to their now forever homes to form part of all these splendid families. This is one of the main reasons that make us get better every day.

Thanks to you guys for taking such good care of our babies!

"Harley"

Tiffany & Tyler

Hi Laura,

I had to send this image to you it was so cute! Harley is doing fine and he is our ball of energy and our bundle of joy. He has healed all our pain from Buddy's passing and it is so much fun watching him grow right before our eyes! But let me get back to the photo image! Under the kitchen table is where he loves to rest after a hard play session. As you can see he rests as hard as he plays. We hope all is well with you and we will let you know how things go as our little boy becomes a big boy.

Best Regards,

Philip, Judy, Marielle, and Harley

Hi Laura,

I had to send you this image of our boy Harley. Judy was making breakfast and opened the refrigerator to get something out. Before she could close the door Harley jumped in and began cooling off. What a character!

"Bella"

Maggie & Jack

Hi Laura,

The retriever is our next door neighbors' dog, Zoe, who has taken over the roll of Bella's Mom - they adore each other, and play everyday. It is great for Bella, and good for Zoe(she is 11 years old)!

The other lab(black collar) is your Bogey(Becky Brooks pup) -we have been getting together on Friday's, and Bella and Bogey can't get enough of each other! The first time they came here, and Bogey jumped right in the pool, and loved it!

The little dog is our miniature wire haired dachsund, and she is 8 years old. She likes Bella, but lets her know when she has had enough Bella time! We also have two cats who Bella loves to play with. They are extremely tolerant as she drags them around the house like her own personal chew toys!

We are planning to go away from July 6-12th, so we will bring Bella to you either on the 5th of July or early on the 6th, and we will pick her up late afternoon on the 12th, if that is okay with you.

Thanks,

Sadie

"Bodie"

Maggie & Jack

Hi Laura,

Just wanted to update you on Bodie's progress at 13 weeks. Just got back from the vet and he weighs 25 pounds and is doing great! He has been great for us and we love him to pieces. Actually everyone loves him already. He is a big hit at the vet and everyone has to play with him before he leaves. He can come, sit, shake, stay and lay down. Potty training has gone well, except a few accidents.  He is extremely energetic and playful and gets along well with people and other dogs.  So far he has been a great pet and we thank you.

"Abby"
Sweety & Ace

Hi Laura,

I’ve been meaning to write you for ages to tell you how GREAT Abby is! We had to teach her how to swim but she LOVES it now.  Sometimes she’ll just take herself for a little dip because she wants to, but we spend time every day swimming her & Jazzy when the weather is decent.  They have a blast doing races to retrieve their dummy in the pool – Abby is as competitive as Jazzy & it’s really funny when she overtakes the little dog & tries to rip the dummy from her to win the race. She spent May-August with me last summer in Costa Rica.  She had a blast in a tropical paradise with all new experiences, including the ocean. Abby and Jazzy have turned into 2 dogs that are incredible best friends & sisters.  Even though Jazzy tried to rip Abby a new one a few times in the beginning, they are sooooo inseparable now.  Jazzy is closer to Abby than she ever was with the 3 black labs she grew up with.  They kiss & greet each other every morning when we wake up, can’t stand to be away from each other, and are the true Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum.

I  bet Abby was a wonderful mother!  She is such a sweetheart & so gentle & loving!  We absolutely adore her!

Take care – hope you enjoy the pics.  Keep me posted!  If you’re ever near Roswell, we’d love to have you stop by & visit!

"Noli"
Blossom & Jack

Hi Laura!  Just wanted to let you know that Noli is doing great so far!  (Blossom/Jack, Purple Girl.)  She is already sleeping through the night if I take her out one last time about 11:30 or midnight before we go to bed.  She loves to chew on everything, but she seems to be learning quickly what is ok and what's not ok to chew.  I got her a bully stick and she is loving that.  She isn't eating any of it, just chews it and plays with it.  She is SO hyper in the morning, and goes crazy barking at and biting the kids.  It's actually pretty funny.  :o)  The kids are learning how to get her to stop mouthing them.  She's never had an accident in her crate, and she's only had a handful of accidents in the house.  And those were because I didn't notice she was whining in time.  We're trying to get her to use the bathroom in the mulch, which is going so-so.  For some reason she keeps trying to go to the grass even though you had her on wood chips.  But she will figure it out eventually.  I'm going to get some bells to hang on the door and train her to use those when she needs to go out- with the chaos of the kids I think the bells will be easier for us to hear!  Noli had her first vet appointment at a few days old, and I have her scheduled for her vaccinations on the 2nd.  Her favorite place to hang out is on top of the air conditioning vents on the floor.  Attached are pictures of her on top of her two favorite ones.  :o)  Thanks for everything!  I will try to remember to update you with pictures as she grows.

"Stella"

Diamond & Tyler

Hi Laura,

I just wanted to send you a new picture of Stella (Daimond x Tyler- red girl).  She is 5 months old now and just graduated from her first obedience class!  She is doing great and getting really big...39lbs! Everywhere we go people tell us she is the prettiest lab they have seen, and want to know where we got her.  So..I have been letting them know she is a "VanDalen Lab"!

Thank you for breeding such wonderful dogs!  Stella is such a joy to have in our family!

Hello! We just wanted to let you know how wonderful Shafer has been! We have only had her a week, and she's been such a breeze potty and crate training. She definitely is not afraid of a lot of attention!! Thank you so much, we will keep you up to date as she grows!!

Annie will be in north Georgia and we are seeking a boarding recommendation. Annie is the love of our life

"Bogey"
Diamond & Tyler

Hi Laura, how are you?  My neighbor took these pictures of Bogey this week.  He is a fun, energetic, curious and dominant puppy!! He is about 34 pounds and he is loved by everyone--- they think he is so handsome and "what a beautiful face" they always comment. In the pictures, this cooler still had a lot of ice and Bogey enjoyed as much as he could eat!

We are having a trainer to come into our house to give us some helpful ideas as how to handle Bogey.   He is not as mouthy as he was, but still has to be placed on his side from time to time.  He is responding to commands and loves baby "Goldfish" by Pepperidge Farm as treats!

We are so glad to have him as a member of our family.

Becky

"Charlie"

Blossom & Henry

Hi Laura,

Charlie went with us last time (last year) and very much enjoyed his vacation.  Hoping he will get to relax and unwind this time too!

Thanks for checking in and I think about Blossom often.  So sorry for your loss.

I thought you would find these funny.  This was the night we got back home from Florida last year.  We were dying laughing.

"Bouy"

Marty & Diamond

Laura

Thought you would enjoy this picture of Buoy.  He is "Orange Boy" from Marty X Diamond.

We were out at the Lake Allatoona this weekend and we took this picture of Buoy.   He is 11 months old tomorrow and

really a great dog.  As you can tell from the picture he was enjoying the Lake on a beautiful Easter Sunday.

We love coming on the site every few months, looking at the puppies and seeing the other puppies from Marty x Diamond.

Take Care,

The Daniel Family

"Boulder"

O'Mally & Jack

Laura -

I just wanted to give you an update on Boulder. He is doing very well. He is incredibly intelligent. He already knows how to sit, stay, come, down, shake, and roll over. We are working on speak. It's so hard to believe he is just 10 1/2 weeks.

He still has his baby fat, though he has gotten a bit longer and taller. He weighed 17.2 pounds on March 11th (9 1/2 weeks) when we went to the vet. Everybody just raved about how beautiful he is.

The best thing about Boulder Bear, though, is how calm he is. He will play with our other dog, but it's controlled playing. Yet, most of the time, he lays on the floor and relaxes or sleeps.

We're still working on housebreaking, but most of the accidents are coming near the door. That's progress. Also, he doesn't like to sleep a full 8 hours, though we're "ignoring" some of his barking during the night. We've found that he just wants out of the crate not that he needs to go out. He hasn't soiled his crate since the first night!

Laura, we already have realized that we have a special dog. We feel very blessed to have him. I'll update you every few months on his progress.

Attached is a picture of my wife with Boulder Bear.

Thanks,

Robert

"Mason"

Just a note to let you know how Mason (burgundy boy 01/02/10) is doing.

We thought it would be tough accepting another pet into our family after losing our 15 year old black lab Jasmine, but as you can see by the pictures he is fully a part of our family. He is amazing, very smart and loaded with personality. Mason is already responding to commands (come, sit, stay) and is potty trained, which was not very hard to achieve thanks to you. We are looking forward to many good memories with Mason by our side just as we had with Jazzy Girl. Once again thank you.

God Bless,

Mike, Lisa Wilson and family

"Walker"

Clark & Lucy

Hi Laura,

It's snowing again on the mountain and Walker is loving it! He's such a blessing. His weight was up to 98 lbs at our las vet visit (had to board him a couple of days). Need to weigh him again. Do you think that's too much? He weighed around 85 when we go him in November. Perhaps I've been giving him too many treats--but it's hard not to when he's so irresistible!!
Isn't he gorgeous?? The sweetest disposition in the world. I can put my hand in his mouth when he has a bone or his favorite toy or even take it away and there is absolutely no reaction. He's the same with my four grandsons as well. He's enriching our lives in ways we never imagined. Thanks so much for allowing us to be his forever parents!!!

Sandy Poe

"Stella"

Molly & Gandalf

Hi Laura,

My name is Renee Dingle and I purchased one of your labs in June of 07. Her name is Stella, she was out of Gandalf and Molly. I have to tell you that she is the sweetest, most gorgeous lab we have owned. Everyone she meets comments on how gorgeous she is and then when they see her personality they are even more impressed. She is our 4th yellow lab and by far has the most calm temperament.  I thank god in my prayers for Stella who has brought us joy while going through some tough times. She has seen my two sons through what most people couldnt even imagine. So we would like to thank you for Stella. On another note my sister just recently lost her lab of 10 years to cancer. She has twin 3 year olds and everytime they see me they ask if they can have Stella. Well I could never give up Stella but I thought maybe you could help us with a lab that is just as sweet. I would love to help my sisters family, just like Stella helped mine. I hope these past few years have treated you well. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Renee Dingle

"Jack"

Tiffany & Walker

Hi Laura,

I wanted to let you know that we are just loving Jack [orange boy]!  He's from the Tiffany & Walker's litter that was available right before Thanksgiving.  He's absolutely beautiful and now that I'm taking him in public everyone comments on how handsome he is!  He's very smart too.  He's bell trained to go out and he's been potty trained for quite a while now.  I've attached a couple of older photos - I haven't taken any good ones in a while, but will forward as soon as I do.

Have a great weekend!

Angie Dobbs

"Stella"

Diamond & Tyler

Hi Laura,

I just wanted to let you know that we named our "red girl"  Stella, and she is doing great!  She is trying really hard to win over our older lab Daisy(11), and I think she is going to.  Everyday they play together a little more.  She loved the snow and completely tired herself out!  I have attached some pictures of her in the snow.  She is already, after only a week, going to the door and whining to be let out!!  She is such a great puppy....Thank you!!

Renee McDade

"Charlie"

Blossom & Henry

Hi Laura,

I just wanted to send you a quick picture of Charlie enjoying our snowfall on Friday.  I hope all is well!

"Brutus"

Go-Dah & Gandalf

"Bailey"

Rolly & Gandalf

Hi Laura!

Hope all is well with you.  I know you wanted to see Brutus when he got older, so one day we'll have to get him up there to you.  I'm attaching photos from January.  You can definitely tell Brutus from Buckeye.  Brutus has a much block-ier head and a lot shorter nose. Buckeye is 3 and Brutus will turn 2 in March.  They are wonderful dogs!

Talk to you soon.

Karen Marsh

"Walker"

Clark & Lucy

Hi Laura,

my 7 year old grandson wanted me to sketch a pic of Walker and this is the result. Thought you might enjoy. Still loving our boy-- he's incredible!!!!!!!!

"Rivers"

Diamond & Gandalf

Hey Laura,

It has been quite a while since we last gave you an update on Rivers (Diamond and Gandalf Litter) but he is doing just GREAT! He is now about 90 pounds and loves the outdoors! He has been trained to duck hunt and is such a playful puppy. It still has some growing up to do but he LOVES everyone! He wants to play with anyone and everyone he sees! Rivers has a very sweet personality and I have never seen him be mean to anyone. He and Jacob have a very special bond and I am including a few pictures of him. As always, we get continuous compliments on what a gorgeous and beautiful dog he is. Hope all is well with you. The new puppies are just precious!

Leah and Jacob Sherriff

Henry

Tiffany & Walker

Hi Laura,

I wanted to let you know that Henry is the most wonderful puppy and a fabulous addition to our new family. Mike and I can't image our lives without him now. The first picture is Henry sleeping under our Christmas tree. He had a great Christmas and has become good friends with my parents yellow lab. His Christmas gift to us was mastering potty training! He is a very smart dog and is doing great with his training. He no longer chews on peoples hands and he is getting pretty good at playing fetch instead of tug-a-war... especially if you have a treat! We read in a book that a lab should have a "job" that he thinks he needs to do in the family. Henry has 2 jobs- one, he "helps" Mike build fires every night (see attached picture) and he walks with me almost every day. He can already walk a strong 3 miles! He is growing quickly and is already over 30 lbs. Our vet loves him and said he is very healthy. I love the last picture of his with the snow. He was so funny to watch play in it and he really enjoyed eating it. Henry is such a blessing to us. I will continue to send you updates and pictures.

Sincerely,

Laura Davis
